Brian and I enjoyed a long weekend in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
The city was really nice (compared to Jakarta) and I enjoyed the city very much. Petronas Towers are the main highlight in Malaysia (although there are other beautiful landmarks in the city). If you have ever seen the movie Entrapment, you will remember a scene where Catherine Zeta-Jones jumps off the sky bridge. Well, we didn't do that. But you can pay money to take an elevator up to the sky bridge...we didn't do that either. Instead, we enjoyed the view from the bottom and from the Sky Bar in the Trade Hotel directly next door.
We also got to see Brian's friends stationed at different posts in SE Asia. And we had people from the embassy in KL with us so it was nice having some personal tour guides.
I think we must have walked one million miles around the city but the weather was great and we had a really nice time. Next trip to KL I'd like to get out of the city and experience some of Malaysia's beaches and temples.
