The Eagle Has Landed

The package has arrived......
  Our family is whole again.

So it was probably three of the hardest days for us.  Sandy (Nana) got Ranger on a plane Wednesday morning which started the long trip to Jakarta for our little puppy.  The nice thing about the flight is that it only had one lay-over in Amsterdam.  Amsterdam is a very dog friendly airport so we were fortunate to find a company who worked directly with KLM to ensure he would get to Amsterdam and have time to get out of his crate, run, feed, and sleep before getting on his second flight.

Once in Jakarta, he had to spend the night at the airport :(  The Customs manager was unable to clear Ranger for "home quarantine" until Saturday.  Brian left first thing Saturday morning to the airport to spend the day with Ranger until he was approved to come home.  Brian even drove back to our apartment with Ranger.  Such a good daddy.

Once here, Ranger enjoyed being fed tons and tons of Pupperonies and Snausages.  He was introduced to our compound's cats...which he enjoyed chasing up the trees.

I think it will take some time for him to adapt but I have to say that our apartment feels more like home now that our family is back together again.  A HUGE thank you to Sandy and Terry for watching Ranger these last few months and for taking him to and from the vet (like five times), dealing with Ranger bring sprayed by a skunk, and getting him ready to go for his long flight to Jakarta.   We are so happy that he arrived safely.

Thank you to every one for your thoughts and prayers....I know all animal lovers would understand how nervous we were and how happy we are.
